Opening day for MI was slightly weaker than expected, but Saturday is looking very strong compared to Friday, so good WOM probably kicking in already. Hopefully Sunday holds well and it can open to around $63M, which would be a nice improvement over the last one of $55M. A new franchise record is now pretty much guaranteed and it will have a good shot at beating MI2's $215M total dom gross record.

Overseas is where MI is really strong though, its outperforming rogue nation quite substantially in most countries. After the last two both fell just shy of $700M WW this one looks set to make it there.

That's pretty awesome. The previous MI felt like a let down to me so I'm glad it wasn't signifying the end.

I've never really been into mission impossible.  I like Tom Cruise, but he's not one of my favorites.  I did like him in The Mummy and Edge of Tomorrow though.  Dude doesn't seem to age though. Same with Leo DiCaprio.

lol no I don't mean those are better or the best movies if thats what you think? I just liked him in those movies.  I don't think I've even seen anything past the first mission impossible.  May do a move marathon of them when fallout comes out on digital.


Also Infinity War on digital on tuesday!!!  And that's my birfday!!

His excellence in Mission Impossible is more behind the scenes really. Yeah the latest three MIs are a huge step up in quality, they're three of the best action films out there. I kinda want to do a marathon of them as well.

Yeah! Time to watch it again in high quality!

Definitely not! Its a film which is definitely nowhere near as good if you've been spoiled. You've done well to avoid spoilers though
