its honestly a hassle, i need to look up the mapping on the PS3, then match it the same way on the PS4 controller, it can be quite annoying.

That actually won't work.  Dragon Age and Mass Effect were designed with using R2 to switch between different magics.There's no way to replicate that on PC.

So I got my code for W3 but it was for gog. I hope there's away to transfer to steam.

It's okay, GOG is DRM free.  You still have to contend with Steam's DRM.
