EA forecasts 22 million PS4's and Xbox One's to be sold through in 2015

EA confirmed during their financials today that they are expecting 22 million PS4's and Xbox One's to be sold through worldwide in calendar year 2015 taking the total install base to over 50 million.

EA said that this generation of consoles has its install base 51% higher than last gen at the same time point. (17 months)

AMD and IDG estimated last year that over 29 million PS4's and Xbox One's had been sold through to end users by the end of 2014. Over 18.5m accounted for the PS4.

Because I'm lazy and because I stopped paying attention to how wrong the Chertz are, but going off their numbers, PS4 basically by itself has sold more than the 360 and PS3 up to this point.

Off topic but yeah I hate how lost I feel with sales numbers this last year. Off the top of my head it'd be ps4 22 mil, xbo 12, wii u 9, vita 11, and 3ds 55?  Idk.

Yeah seems kinda low considering 214 was 14 mil ps4 and 8 mil right? That'd be no yoy growth.

Yeah I have no idea.  I just get excited when we get numbers. 

Technically PS4 < 360+PS3, but there is also 5% room for error, plus there's also lateness on VGC, so more room for error. 
So it's very possible that PS4 is roughly equal. 
That 51% is basically just XBO, if one looks at it that way.

Assuming the chertz is correct then PS4+XB1=33.5m ish. So I'd guess PS4 is just under 22 and XB1 juse under 12. If EA and the charts are correct that is
