QuoteWell, well, well. We went and made the audacious decision to go to sleep, and you lot smashed through all of our stretch goals! We can't take our eyes off you for a minute, can we?

Now that we've raised an incredible £1 million ($1.5m!), Yooka-Laylee will be released day-one on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One and Wii U!

Obviously we would like to offer our sincere thanks to everyone who has backed the project so far. Our intention from the beginning was to use Kickstarter as a means to improve Yooka-Laylee, and you've helped us shape it into one fine specimen.

But we've not run out of ideas yet! Backers can be assured that the Playtonic team will deliver a complete and satisfying game package. However, given the opportunity and additional resources required, we have a list of additional 'dream' extras we'd love to incorporate.

How about a developer commentary video? N64 shader mode? Hell, we'll even get Grant Kirkhope to record a new 'DK Rap' for the endgame credits.

Any extra money will of course go towards improving the game. Below are the extra features we'll be able to fulfill by reaching new stretch funding goals:

Crazy. Let's hope it lives up to expectations.

A glitch in the matrix!

At this point they're probably just going to throw stretch goals on there knowing they'll make them.

I like the sound of the 1,100,000 goal.

I hope this game turns out great.

Dr. Pezus

1.1m reached!

From now on I expect it to go a lot slower. Maybe reach 1.7m in a week and 2m in two weeks.

i liked the look of the game, but the character models just look bad. no personality in them and they look too lame. also, i wish the environments have better details and a more artistic feel to it, it looks promising and can be a lot better now that they reached their stretch goals and are gaining a lot more money then they thought they would.

This is only 3 months of work so far. They probably haven't started working on the stuff you mentioned.

Dr. Pezus

I actually think the characters look great. And the environments look amazing for such a short dev time with only a few devs

in the gaming world i learned to believe it when i see it. though it is most likely they will, but still i wanna see it when they do. i doubt they will reach their 2016 release date goal, since they are making a lot more money then they expected i am thinking they will take their time and make the game the biggest and more ambitions than they originally thought they could do.

Dr. Pezus

I don't remember one game on Kickstarter making their time goals lol

next stretch goal should a Vita and 3DS release.
