Fun video. Interesting to see the things they did go overboard with getting right, while ignoring so many others.

the fidelity of it as an open world game is nuts.  still not really my type of game and yet it's tempting to want to play.

Looks like blood of dawn walker is good. Currently at 83 on meta. I was debating on grabbing but I have wolverine and control resonant coming this month and that's gonna take up a lot of time. Plus I grabbed starfield so playing through that

he needs to make less content.   it was quite a few interesting takes to begin with.  it's quickly turning to drivel..

I know I've shared this on a few sites already, so I apologize if I've shared it here already.

I feel like this shouldn't be a hot take, but I think Sony should make physical copies more of a collector's item. Digital is $70, make a physical copy that is $100 with a little art book or something.

i mean, this shouldn't be a hot take but i should be able to go to a mall and buy clothes.   but the honest truth is even though i live in a highly populated all but 3 malls have basically collapsed.   it's a 45 minute drive to my nearest "viable" mall.  my neighborhood mall in total has:
- AMC
- baby gap
- lens crafters
- neiman marcus

it sucks but everyone (myself include) buys online.  i "should" be able to shop in person but i can't fairly expect a store to exist when no one shops it.

it's no different here.   you can't expect sony to prop up the entire disc industry when:
- can you even buy music on CD anymore?   my target doesn't carry any anymore.  they have a couple records but even then they only carry like 6 albums worth and like half of them are taylor swift.
- tv and movie discs are nearly extinct
- a vast majority of games don't sell on disc either.   no PC.  no mobile.  no nintendo.  and on ps/xbox ~90% of games are sold digitally.

Speaking of discs, it's weird fans are acting like xbox is pro disc because you can convert your discs into a digital copy.

They literally announced a method so that the next xbox doesn't need a disc drive, and yet people act like that makes them pro disc.  :P

yeah, i think people just want to see sony die.  xbox is already dead so it gets a free pass.

Oooof this sounds terrible
they say it only effect 4% of users so i guess its not that big of a deal.   to be real i consider myself a pretty serious gamer and i'll bet most weeks i don't game 15 hours.   it's too bad xbox didn't pick at least a slightly higher number like 20 hours.   i'll bet the usage curve is a vast majority are 0 hours and those 4% that are effected are doing like 80 hours.   as in a slighly higher number wouldn't have changed much but made it viewed quite a bit better.

Music CD sales have only been going up and account for billions of dollars.  Movies have managed to find their consistent niche.  The issue isn't that physical doesn't sell, it does, it's that Sony isn't letting anyone take over.  I'd take random games from Limited Run, but Sony killed that off.  PS games selling 90% digital is a lie, leaked data, and not leaked data shows around a 60/40 split.  Maybe not in the U.S., but it is everywhere else.
