On the other hand, chip rumors that next Xbox is going to be an absolutely insane machine that wipes out PS6.

Which maybe makes sense if Microsoft doesn't expect NexBox to be a mainstream product in the first place.
That could be smart. Make nexbox a $1,500 pc sold for $2,000 thanks to branding.

But it won't be an xbox imo unless xbox is the only logo on it. Partnership like the rog and it doesn't count imo.

QuoteHi everyone,

Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026.

We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.

We want to thank you again for your patience and support. While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City.

Sincerely,
Rockstar Games

This is crazy. So in May of 2025 it was delayed to May 2026.

And now in November 2025 it was delayed to November 2026.

Wonder what the heck is going on behind the scenes. Is it all gravy, just the "wtf this huge game is too huge" stuff or is it a half sunk ship they're trying to save?

Honestly? I think they always intended to delay it to November of 2026. They probably always wanted to release it In the holiday period.

But if they delayed it from may 2025 to November 2026 they would have gotten a huge backlash. A delay for a year and a half is huge. But if they push it back from may to November, it's not as big.

Not "game" related.

I've complained about this before, but I feel like there's a lot of oversimplification when it comes to how hardware runs games.

I saw a tweet, from someone who should hypothetically know better comparing Steam Machine to PS5 - talking about how the CPU is better but the GPU is similar and basically to expect same image quality but better frame rates. Basically implying that CPU => frame rates, GPU => image quality.

Just have to put in a CPU that's twice as good, and then bam it'll take your game from 30 FPS to 60.

Hahaha.

Is that person older by chance though? That was more true in the past. Every single frame the cpu needs to tell the gpu what to render with draw calls, and that was often a bottleneck in the past.

Yeah, I know.

The CPU can still be a bottleneck today. I think it probably came up a lot during the PS4 gen too. I think it was an issue with Bloodborne.

But it's one of those things that people tend to assume is always true, and it feels more general than it really should.

I think it's pretty rare nowadays.
