WOOOOO! I really like Mirage. Best blend of old and new AC and just enough content to not feel bloated and the map was so good. So I'm excited for this.

Lots of places are not stocking it anymore, but I don't know how doomy that really is vs just markets shifting to online direct sales.

i hope sony execs are paying attention. it was Feb '24 that xbox announced "just 4 games are going to playstation". it took only ~20 months for xbox to completely exit the console market.

i swear it was just 3 years ago i literally had a xbox in my shopping cart. with the Act buyout incoming i figured i'd by a series S just so i wouldn't lose access to all those games MS has acquired. thank goodness my indecision kicked in and i didn't get one.

well there was a rumor a week or so ago that at the leadership level discussions were being had on if they should continue to invest in next gen hardware (as announced 3 months ago) or cancel it.

they half denied it. "as of today we are still investing in Xbox hardware.". easily truth without making the rumor false.

cosco has officially dropped Xbox. lots of Europe have officially dropped Xbox apparently. target and Walmart are rumors at this point. people seem giddy to post anything bad though. most of it has ended up true but it's a pile on of people trying to will Xbox out of existence.

On the one hand, rumors that Xbox is getting pulled.

On the other hand, chip rumors that next Xbox is going to be an absolutely insane machine that wipes out PS6.

Which maybe makes sense if Microsoft doesn't expect NexBox to be a mainstream product in the first place.
