Haven't watched the vid but seen stuff about it in the past. You could cheat the game by just pointing the gun at a light.

I think I remember some game using crt scanlines too, but I guess that wasn't duck hunt.

Maybe the tech wasn't perfect but the gun has to pick up a frame of light followed by a frame of black for it to register a kill.

But it uses the CRT scan lines to achieve that if that is what you mean

I guess it's more of an urban legend since light guns before the zapper could cheat with light bulbs.

My 6 year old daughter got Animal Crossing for Christmas. Obviously I'm playing as well. Really heavy on the text in the beginning for a Nintendo game   but I'm sure I'll see why it's so popular
