Wth, what "promises"? I hate when reviewers act like The Order was meant to be anything other than a cinematic game experience. I mean, it has black bars for fudge's sake!

Btw this is the highest rated comment in the r/Games thread for the Orders reviews and I can't tell you how much this pisses me off, that guy is essentially happy that the game got low scores, not because the game did what it tried poorly but because the game doesn't fit into his definition of what a game should be, how dare this company try to make a cinematic singleplayer game that focusses heavily on storytelling.

Well at least that dude knows that he sounds douchey, but yeah overall this has just been a trainwreck and the circlejerk is once again showing the gaming community from its most childish side, I'll seriously stick with the vizioneck forum for now, this has just left a massively sour taste in my mouth (maybe I'll message some guys on the chertz if they want to join here though, to make things a little more active ).
On a more positve note, I was at work to be able to pay for my PS4 soon, while the reviews came in and all the shame went down today, so I didn't have too much trouble ignoring all of it.

There are If I have missed some vital gameplay mechanic that the Youtuber I watched simply chose not to use the whole game, please tell me, but I've played enough of these games to feel familiar with the game mechanics shown visually taht I know what it's about without having played it. And in fairness, there are some different events that break away from traditional gameplay, so I'm not saying just those mechanics are comprehensive of the entire game. Just the basic game that is 95% of it. In that sense, I have played it, just in different parts of different games that this game apes. "
