If the game has a decent base of players at launch it can build up a player base with time and content. We seen it happen with a lot of Ubisoft titles. As long as it doesn't crash and burn on arrival

for me i can tell you that marathon looks very visually appealing.   i loved destiny too so i trust bungie has some great gamplay.  but i loath pvp.

not sure if these requests can fit well with bungies roadmap but for me to even consider buying it i need:
- co-op mode
- ..or a single player campaign

i would totally go for a version of this game that was basically
- enter the map with your squad
- fight bots

but i am 100% a bottom teir player at shooting mechanics especially in pvp scenarios.   maybe with effort i could get better but i don't even want to.  i'm old now and my reaction time isn't the greatest anymore.  i find pvp gameplay to always be about gaining an advantage by finding exploits in the gameplay and environment that makes the gameplay un-fun.  i have no room in my life to be cannon fodder for other people.

I just hope they don't call it God of War: Some Subtitle. I think there will be less backlash to it just being a new title in the universe. There is going to be backlash to them doing woman protag no matter what though. Because of nonexistent reasons

Seems to be off to a good start.

Rated fairly positively, and has a peak of 70-80k people every day on Steam alone.
