And what's our over under for how many games they ship before shutting down? That announcement text is horrible in many ways.

QuotePlayStation leadership didn't give Haven staff a reason for her departure, but it came several weeks after an external test of Haven's first game, the online shooter Fairgames, according to people with knowledge of the matter. Some developers at Haven were concerned about how the game was received and its progress, said the people, who asked not to be identified because they aren't authorized to speak publicly

Jade Raymond leaves Haven

Yeah I think Haven/ fair game is doomed.

Wow.

But this can't be the first external test of the game right? Unless Sony is really really stupid, after Concord concorded they would have got tons of fresh eyes on Fairgame and made sure it wasn't headed down the same path.

Just finding these issues a year later is not good.

Or they knew it was in a bad state but with Raymond's clout they let her keep cooking. And now that has failed.

Oops. Bungie used this person's art.

This GAAS push has been an unmitigated disaster

I could look past similarities, but dang this is blatantly ripped off from that persons designs.

the-pi-guy

Bungie confirmed it and repeatedly blamed people who aren't there anymore.

QuoteApparently, a pre-alpha was distributed via PSN under the name Project Hearts, enabling a small number of participants to go hands-on with the game.

According to one of those people, it's a "Battle Royale crossed with an extraction shooter", with elements of both Fortnite and The Division present.

But apparently the game doesn't feel good to play and it's "super clunky" in its current guise, which reflects what Bloomberg wrote in its report on Raymond's departure. The feedback to the release has not been good.

Also Neil confirmed ND have a second game in the works. I'm betting on Uncharted.

Yeah that's what i'm feeling as well. My hope is they are doing it because it's already established and they can maybe push it out faster than TLOU or New IPs

Legend

What else could be done with Uncharted? They definitely could make another but I don't see how they could make it a by the numbers sequel. It'd still be a big overhaul and take almost just as long as a new ip.

the-pi-guy

Yeah I think an Uncharted would have to be a spin off/reboot of some kind.

Plus ND said they were done with Uncharted.

At the same time, I think Sony would want more Uncharted, and it'd make sense to pass it onto another studio. But also ND hasn't had the best luck passing their games to other studios.

I'm sure they will still want to make a TLOU 3, Druckmann has suggested as such.

But lots of room for new ips.
