i think he said similar things about TLoU2.  some stuff about how they don't do sequels just for the sake of sequels.   they pitch their ideas for where things can go next (TLoU) along side ideas for whatever else they think they could do (Intergalatic) and then pick the project that the studio feels passionate about working on.

so i guess i'd take this statement as TLoU3 is not yet in production which makes sense.    ...but i'll bet TLoU3 is in pre-production right now.  just that they may decide to cancel the project if the project doesn't feel like their best possible option.

tbh it's kind of what i love the most about ND and sony in general.   abandoning a popular IP to make something completely different is not something other publishers are doing.

as far as i'm concerned uncharted has had enough of a run.  6 games is already a lot.   i wouldn't want another uncharted unless it has a GoW 2018 like changeup in gameplay.  and unlike GoW (which was a top down game) i don't think uncharted has a ton of room to be completely reimagined.   better to just make a new IP like intergalatic at that point anyways.

all i want is for their new IPs to be thematically more like uncharted than TLoU.   more humor/adventure and less dread.

GIVE ME ALL THE UNCHARTEDS!!! I would 100% take more uncharted.  Its honestly insane we are 10 years past a mainline Uncharted game and 8 years since Lost Legacy.

I'd take another Uncharted.

I'd also take another new IP with more humour and wit and less tense. 

Still first things first ND need to actually focus on delivering and releasing Intergalactic.

I mean they literally had a daughter. Make her protag who pulls her dad in for another treasure hunt and make Nathan the Sully figure instead. Kaitlyn Dever is a great actress so she would do well playing Cassie

But yeah if there is more uncharted it won't be ND doing it. Just make sure they support the new studio on the first game so they nail the atmoshphere and characters as well as ND.

If ND doesn't do it it probably shouldn't be done.  LBP 3 without MM was terrible.

Only scene I liked in U4 was Nate on top of Elena. That was even better than the U3 scene of Elena on Nate.
