Borderlands 2 surpasses over 12 million units sold

In a podcast with Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford said that Borderlands 2 has sold "well over 12 million units." He added that he learned about this through an earnings call with 2K, but since the company is publicly traded, they can't always be specific about numbers.

As of last year, the 2012 first-person shooter role-playing game had sold around 9 million copies and had become 2K's bestselling game ever.
