Just asking a simple question of is it worth it(yes I stole this thread from vgchartz).
I mean We all know its going to do 5 million or more on ps4.
Plus xbox one is a failure in Japan where usually a 1/3 of FF sales usually come from
and FF13 sold 2 million(using vgchartz) on an 80 million install base.
So is it worth it I mean FF15 is going to probably outsell FF13 and I heard the xbox one version of the demo is terrible probably leaving bad impressions.
So yeah is it worth it?

Not today, but the future is hard to predict. Back when the port was started, xbo looked like it'd do better.

Also if xbo continues to turn itself around, porting 15 helps build a fanbase for future games.

The rumor that I heard was that SE's former president was seriously considering an exclusivity deal with Sony for many of their games, including Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3, but when he was replaced that possibility ended. That rumor aside, I don't think Square Enix has much confidence in Xbox. I doubt that they will become exclusive for anything of their own choice but I think it will be easy for Sony to "convince" them considering the PS4's current position.

Tell me where this is happening again? Because last time I checked it's still getting rocked globally, is dang close to selling zero consoles a week in Japan, Europe is still showing huge support to Sony, and it lost in the US the last two months by 50k to 60k each. That is what it lost by on a consistent basis last year. The X1 had a good holiday run last year but we all know what happened to make that a reality. One good holiday of firesales does not a turn around make.

Things started to turn when DRM was shut down.
Originally it was going to be 3:1 in favor of PS4 in USA!  Now it's like 1.1:0.9  The race is much closer, and it's still Sony's game, but it could change.

Plus I totally saw XB1 doing well during the holiday like back in July.

It's happening in America and just America.

I'm not saying it's healthy yet, it's just less sick.

That's not "continuing to turn itself around". Reaching all the way back to what changed when X1 dropped DRM well prior to launch is just that. Reaching. The fact is the X1 got beat consistently all year until the holidays where it had to use firesales and hope Sony drug its feet. Which they did. Now, even at $150 less than it started at, removing something nobody wanted, and giving away free games, it's still getting beaten by the same monthly average it was last year. That's not a turn around.

I use the term average loosely.

It's...really not. If anything the fact that it's $50 cheaper than its competitor and giving away more free games yet still finding itself in mostly the same position it was in last year being $100 more expensive is the opposite of a turn around.

Yeah Xbox One cant catch a break
March is gonna be ugly especially with MLB, Blood, and FF helping ps4...

I use the term turning itself around loosely.

I'm gonna make your butthole loose.

Commercially it may be bad especially in Japan but I'm sure there's somewhat of an audience in the west.

As long as there arent any exclusive DLC features - it'll be OK.

Mmm_fish_tacos

I think it will sell enough to cover the port cost.

the-pi-guy

Sales won't exist in Japan or Europe.
And frankly probably not worth the trouble for the US sales.  Particularly as time goes on.

Microsoft making money with the system means diddly squat. Sales/install base is all that matters when we say XBO is turning around.

Every month yoy it has so far been up, and that's even with last year's launch hype.
