14 playable characters at launch plus Akuma as Day 1 DLC.
Two of the starting characters, Kuan and Sherry, are new.
Each character will have three different fighting styles to choose from.
M.Bison will be revealed at the NicoNico Chou Kaigi 2015 expo plus info on styles.
Sherry and Alex will be revealed at E3 2015 along with a playable public demo.
Dudley and Elena will be revealed at Evo 2015 along with a story trailer and a stage demo.
The game will have seasonal updates every 4 months or so that will add new characters.
The first seasonal update will add at least two new characters, TWELVE-V2 and Cliff.

Sounds like they're not intending multiple versions like with Street Fighter IV but instead plan to update the game through patches and DLC.
