Do guys ever just read a comment online and think "wow that's messed up" and then you notice the vast majority of people agree with it?

It can be so disheartening at times.

If adblock won't work on a website, I just won't use that website. Simple as that.

It's irksum how this comment practically mocks the situation, at least from my perspective.

When people try to justify the use of Adblock to me, they always say "but the ads suck, I don't want viruses, they use my bandwidth, etc." My response is to just vote with your "wallet" and don't visit the website. This is usually a preposterous idea to them and unthinkable, yet now in this situation boycotting a website for bad ads is the smart and good thing to do.

Either A.) they have no idea how big of an impact it has, or B.) they are trying to make themselves feel better or C.) both. 
A.) Self explanatory.  People are generally clueless, outside of things that concern them.  Even if they are well educated.
B.) Imagine an alcoholic who keeps insisting that the alcohol is just to help them cope with their situation. 
C.) Self explanatory, see A.) and B.)

The comment before it was worse, but it was a few pages long. Out of context yeah this isn't that bad.

I had this dream that I was helping some lady write a program that had a loop that would take some number away from another number.  Putting in 2 would make it finish.  But putting in 5 would make it keep going forever because the binary expansion for 1/5 is irrational.

So weird.
