Sometimes I kinda wonder if the math teachers completely understand what they're teaching.
It seems like it happens often that a teacher won't explain why something is, they just know how something is.
Which makes it difficult to understand as sometimes the why makes things so easy.
That's not good. My maths teachers are amazing, wish it was that way for everyone.

I think my math teachers are amazing, but they aren't perfect.  :)

I usually am.  Just have a funny way of showing it.

Pages weren't loading at all, it was really weird. It wasn't my internet either. Only lasted for a few minutes

Hmm, maybe it was your internet.
No idea, haven't seen any issues.

What are they teaching you?

I mean they are teaching how it is.  Not why it is.
For example, they might teach what the quadratic equation is, but they don't show you how they know that.
It's just "Here it is, use it."
It's very easy to see why it is that way, but I haven't had a teacher teach me that.
Or why is a circle 2pi radians.  Why not just Pi?
Super easy concept too, but I haven't seen anyone teach it.

My math instructor, while I was at teacher's college, would actually teach us activities for the why.  Like, he'd have very creative ways to get people to figure out why things are the way they are.
