@Pi sometimes the small computer repair shops will have parts, but you'll get them cheaper via newegg most likely. Micro-center can have really good prices as well

I guess I'll just stick with newegg. 
Microcenter sounds cool, but there are none in my state.

it's still hit or miss with sales there though... usually some stuff is on sale for better than you'll find on newegg, but other stuff is cheaper on new egg and it depends on whats on sale at either retailer what will be cheaper... at least that's been my experience...

The college I was initially intending to go to was really expensive, but yesterday I finally looked at the costs and broke it down, etc. Turns out, it is much more affordable if I live at home than I expected.  So, I might still go there.
