Car insurance is about 100$/month, and then gas is about 120$.

I don't make a whole lot.  :P

Yeah that is quite expensive! How far is your drive every day?

It's something like ~35 miles.  (40-45 minutes driving every day.)  One way.

Why do you live so far away?  :o

There's no universities that are closer by.
And it's ridiculously expensive to live on campus.

I pay about 200$ per month to get there and stuff.  (1800$ a year.)

Otherwise, I'd be paying like 4000$ a year for the room (at minimum), and spending at least 2000$ a year for the (last time I checked required) meal plan.

4000 a year, thats cheap.

It's cheap, if you're making something.  But nothing beats free.
I'm making about 5000$ a year right now, while I go to school.

I couldn't afford the 4000+2000 to live on campus.  :P

I pay a lot more than that but it all gets covered by the government's student loan system :D

The way, it is looking is that I'll have to repay back about $30,000 in loans.  Which actually ends up being pretty cheap here.  I don't want to add additional expenses.  If I were to live on campus, it'd end up being like $50,000 in loans (If I started living on campus next semester).  :P  Which would suck greatly.

If I complete for years my loan will be £79,000. Luckily the student loans here aren't really proper loans. You only have to pay back 9% of what you earn above £21,000 a year if you are in a job which pays that much, if not you don't pay it back. Then it gets written off after 35 years.

Yeah that's about my loan debt too.   I lived an hour away from my University and lived with my parents so I didn't have to worry about anything except school.  Now just imagine adding another 100,000 debt or more maybe!  That could likely be me if I for sure go to gnomon.  Don't want to have that much debt, but I honestly don't feel confident in working at a studio right now.  i just feel I have way too much to learn for 3d environment art.  i know I'd learn a lot at a job, but who knows when i'll get that first job.

Youtube did their youtube rewind again.

Why doesn't it automatically go through your subscriptions and watch history to find which people you care about? Would be cool.

NeoGAF - View Single Post -  Vicarious Visions officially working on Destiny

This fits with the all the rumors suggesting they were, and confirms that there are now three studios on the game (Bungie, Vicarious Visions, and High Moon).

Bungie is about 800+ people, Vicarious Visions is 200+ people (minus whoever is on Crash, but I can't imagine that's many), and High Moon is 100+ people.

Okay, so apparently Verendus was banned on Gaf, what was the reason?
