Isn't that line up the opposite of unprecedented?

The only thing unprecedented about that lineup is a timed Tomb Raider exclusive. Calling another Halo, Forza, and Fable "unprecedented" is kind of missing the meaning of the word to just sound awesome. Plus, I think they should probably mention that the next Fable is F2P and on PC.

Check the Halo MCC bundle announcement, see which game isn't among the "unprecedented exclusive lineup of 2015"

So only two real exclusives this year? And in danger of coming to PC too.

PR's gonna PR but yeah in all honesty Halo and Forza are like clockwork (though I think this is the first time that both get a mainline title in the same year), I'm pretty sure interest in F2P Fable is pretty low and Tomb Raider is apparently just bought away from the other systems for a couple months (or however long). Add in the Gears Collection and MS has managed to release all their cookie cutter mascots in the same year without making a new IP themselves.

This is corporate game publishing at its best, rely on your big hitters and don't let your studios take any risks.

Shinobi had hinted that Remedy was looking at a Summer 2015 target long before word came it wasn't releasing in 2014. He later claimed they were aiming for late Summer 2015.

Eh. Kinect Sports Rivals was a critical and commercial flop. D4 came and went with hardly a peep. No one talks about Project Spark except in list wars. MCC's multiplayer was broken until recently. Neither Forza Horizon 2 nor Sunset Overdrive sold much compared to other marketed exclusives and neither of them were truly awesome. Titanfall failed to live up to expectations. It honestly wouldn't be hard for just Halo 5 and Forza 6 to make 2015 feel like a better year for X1 than 2014. Diversity might not be there but quality and sales could. Of course that is just my opinion versus yours in how I feel about it all. I will say that 2015 is looking like it has fewer opportunities to be a great year for X1 compared to 2014.

Like always most of those games didn't live up to the hype. However 2015 games will most likely be the same. It won't be till 2016 that we can say which year was actually better, but right now you have two ways to look at it.

1: compare game hype from March 2014 to now. Last year was winning by a longshot.

2: realisticly predict 2015's games with a pinch of doom. Fable legends will be a blip. Ori is just a list war. Halo 5 dissapoints. Tomb Raider just ends up on ps4. Forza 6 will probably be good.

If 2015 actually lives up to our expectations, it'll crush last year. It just most likely won't. Heindsight is 20/20 or something like that.

This is pretty shame for those looking forward to the game, never good news when devs can't hit targets.

This makes XB1's exclusive line up look even more dire. MS's PR sums it up: "With an unprecedented lineup of Xbox exclusives including Fable Legends, Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Forza Motorsport 6" ... an unprecedented line-up consisting of only 4 games, 2 of which are also going to be on non-xbox platforms.

It is remedy... so maybe for Xbox One 2.
