I'll share mine in a bit.
Think big!

My god. I'll have to come back to this thread. I have one that has been in my head for a few years now.

Ive got many,  ill probably share a few later, but a quick one for now.

a Massive ww2 shooter that features not 1, not 2, but 12 interwoven single player stories.  Following soldiers from Germany, Russia, France(eventually resistance), Italy, UK, US, Canada, japan and china.  80 -100 hours for the full campaign.  Viewing many different theaters of war,  From the deserts of north africa, the mountains of Italy, The Bitter cold of russia, The thick hedgerows of France, Securing ports in Belgium, and the jungles and islands of asia and south pacific. Covering from when Japan began its invasion of china, and hitler began invading poland, all the way to Hitlers death, and the meeting of allied forces in germany, and the dropping of the atomic bomb.  It should have all authentic weapons from every nation involved in the campaign.  plus a MP experience that features all the weapons, vehicles, locations in the campaign, In game sizes as big as 32v32.

BananaKing

open world pirates of the Caribbean game made by naughty dog.

Hmm...

In the words of Hemingway, "No subject is terrible if the story is true, if the prose is clean and honest, and if it affirms courage and grace under pressure." Any good game could be my dream game. I have about 30 game concepts, and about five of them are really fleshed out. I just can't pick a favorite between them, and some of the genres aren't even ones I'd think I liked.

My dream game could be about a talking plant for all I know.

I've got some ideas for what I want to see other companies do, and what I want to do myself.
Here's one for another company
Probably posted it a few times though, tbh.
Open world RPG VR Naruto game.
Full sized world with complete freedom.  The main story will continue almost regardless of what you're doing, but you can influence it and choose to stop it.  You could join the story, or be a villain against it.  Turn the tides etc.

Not necessarily dream game but I'd love to play a game one day that realistically simulates seasons, especially winter, I want realistic snowfall and buildup on both the ground and trees, buildings etc., I want the snow to react realistically to the player and NPCs and I want there to be ice that's breakable if enough force is used on it.

When I'm thinking about a game like this, I'm imagining an open world Zelda-esque game with influences of the Nordic Lore and Vikings. I'm imagining the Hero having a mount that is not simply a horse but something more reminiscent of maybe a moose visually (possibly because of this :D :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GEhM2Byk7w) and comparable in mobility to the mount of the male protagonist in Princess Mononoke.

Also I'd like one boss battle to be a play with light in which the boss would be a being that turns completely invisible if not directly hit by light and in which you would have to use flaming arrows or something similar to light up a chandelier that whenever hit would start swinging and thus illuminating different parts of the room but never the whole room at once. I think I'm not explaining this too well, but it's really cool in my head. :D

That's definitely a game I'd like to play one day.

Me and my friends were having this conversation not long ago. We decided that the best game mankind could possibly create would be a huge open world sci fi first person shooter made by a collaboration between Rockstar, Naughty Dog and Valve

I would play the fudge out of that, sounds amazing.

BasilZero

One that doesnt cost a arm and leg for season pass/DLC.

FLGibsonIII

The many possible lifestyles in Mount and Blade + Fallout New vegas side quests and loot + MGS stealth mechanics + TLOU story
All aboard the hype train.

darkknightkryta

Final Fantasy 8 looking as good as its CGI counter parts.  No voice acting.

haha same, its to bad its completely unrealistic in scale.. lol Ive always found the problem with ww2 games, is that the length can never do true honor to the scale of the war.  more is left out then what is really covered.   and with a game like that you could add more expansion stories from battles across the world,  even stories where the mission is doomed to failure, like Dieppe.  It could almost be used as a history book.

Oh well, one can dream lol

I will say I'd love a realistic space sim rpg. Basically mass effect + eve + kerbal + sims + no man's sky.

Mmm_fish_tacos

While it's not a dream game i did have an idea on the way home that i was completely taken by, so much so that i don't remember the drive home. Again this spawned from watching "the secret life of Walter Mitty" last night, i had a flood of memories from my time spent in Iceland and how back then my friend and I talked how we would write a book of what it was like or something so other could experience what we did, so I thought about this game on the way home. How could one make a game of real life events and have it be fun for the player? I brained stormed what the game would involve just based on what we use to do there. So i'll run down a list of game play elements.

Skateboarding and snowboarding
Wind Skateboarding ( very dangerous )
Graffiti
Setting stuff on fire (also saving a friend from one of those fires)
Stealing ( cigarettes, liqueur)
running from the MA
building ice tunnels
Walking against the wind
shooting birds with sling shots
pin ball
blowing
recycling bottles and cans for money
Trying to get money off your parents
making friends/ losing friends
Dating (finding a girlfriend/dating the CO's daughter)
golf
trips to town
Getting into fights
School

and finally leaving Iceland

There's more, I'm just forgetting some stuff now. I should have written it down sooner. But this is some of the basic game play elements.

To me just going off of these it's will be open world, Very GTA like minus all the crime, killing joker and cops. And the art style wouldn't be realistic.
