Megatons:

Guerrilla Games will show off Horizon in full glory. Game was apparently a potential showing last year, so this year is really its time.

GOW 4 is shown with a CGI trailer. Kratos is back and fighting greek gods and new ones alike. I think it's too early for actual game footage, but Sony wants to get GOW hype through the roof. Plus the game already had an accidental soft announcement. It's time to put some weight behind it.

The last guardian is back under a new name and look. Not really even the same game, but enough to finally bring closure. Insiders seem to be talking about this, and it makes sense.


On the VR side of things,

Pixel Opus, Bend, and London all announce consumer Morpheus games. Pixel Opus's game is some weird artsy indie stuff built around VR, Bend's game is more traditional and can be played sans VR, and London has a fleshed out version of the Heist and a minigame collection featuring the robots from Playroom. Pixel Opus game is $10, Bend's game is $60, Heist is $40, and the minigame collection is free just like Playroom.

That's it as far as first party games. I think Media Molecule and Cambridge will be saved for Gamescom, while Gravity Rush is saved for Japan. Then for PlayStation Event they've got Quantic Dream as their mega hitter.

Though if you think about it, they do have enough to fill a conference:

Deus Ex
Tomb Raider (though I'm sure this'll be at MS' conference)
New Hitman
FF XV
KH III
DQ Heroes for the west
Star Ocean 5 maybe
Bravely Second in the west
am I forgetting something?

If they actually announce a new JRPG IP or DQ XI for PS4 (and other consoles, what do I care), I'll lose my freaking mind.

I'm thinking this and Bethesda will be smaller shows, like we've had many of in the past.


Or Sony and Microsoft have too many first party megatons and can't fit 3rd parties into their shows!
