They should get some Japanese devs. I feel like thats whats been missing from them. Atlus would of been a golden purchase. From Software would be good though I just want them to get the souls team. Capcom would be megaton with how capcom is financially is right now they wouldn't be that expensive plus they'll get a lot of legendary franchise.

No Platinum love?

Quantic dream stated they would stay with Sony as long as the let them make games they want so buying them might be unnecessary. With all this third party exclusivity craze I wouldn't be surprised if they went for a traditional multiplatform dev.
All aboard the hype train.

The studio was just transitioned into a sister studio for Guerrilla games and took over the Killzone franchise. Kinda like how Black Tusk is now the gears studio. They wouldn't have done this unless Cambridge was already on the chopping block imo. Their first game under the new name was Killzone: Mercenary, which despite personally loving was a critical disappointment and financial flop. If their Killzone 5 doesn't rejuvenate the franchise, I could see them being fully absorbed into Guerrilla with tons of layoffs.

actually, killzone mercenary scored just two points lower than uncharted golden abyss. and the reason it flopped sales wise is not their fault at all. its sonys fault. word of mouth from who played it is good. so their situation isnt much different from sony bend. the difference being here is that bend are working on a new ip, and GC are working on a new killzone, which makes sense since they already have experience with the franchise and GG moved on to a new IP.

take this into consideration as well, sony trusted them with their FPS exclusive franchise, ND, GG, SSM, bend, Sucker punch, QD, and RaD arent making FPS games, and they trusted that hole on GC. if sony trusts they can make good games, they certainly arent in any danger.

also, sony has a lot of tolerance when it comes to first party devs. Evolution games flopped BIG TIME with motorstorm, and Driveclub wasnt that big of a success. yet it seems they are already making another game.

I think all of Sony's PlayStation studios will be fine for now but certain studios, like Cambridge and Bend, will be the first to go if Sony finds themselves needing to trim fat.

it really depends on how they perform. the Vita games were part of the studios growing and expanding. make them gain experience making console type games and try make them big AAA studios that stand with the likes of GG and sucker punch, maybe some day with the likes of ND and polyphony. and its clear sony has some trust with these devs (heck, bend has been making their game forever now) and GC was handed a high profile franchise by sony. its cheaper for sony to expand on these devs and make them grow (like they did with RaD, btw). rather than build an AAA dev from scratch (which is really risky, look at  MS victoria)

yeah, QD dont seem like they will be making any changes. they have a great relationship with sony, and they dont care about money as long as they are up and running. also sony are helping them expand and have trust in them it seems. dont see a big risk in them changing publishers honestly.

Nintendo

lol,  sony couldn't afford them right now even if they wanted to buy nintendo.   besides,. keep that filth off of playstation.  i want games with real effort put into them not nintendo's "what's the least we can do" approach to making games.

Um when was the last time you played a Nintendo game?

Take smash for wii u. It's nothing but a fighting game, yet it has so many unrelated features. You can take your trophies and pose them to make a photo, then draw all over that photo and send it to friends. Or you can unlock classic Nintendo games, and actually plah them! Within ssb there is mario kart, pilotwings, fzero, metroid, mario, punch out, etc. Then in smash you also have the crazy and master hand boss fights plus all that campaign stuff.

No, Nintendo doesn't say "what's the least we can do."

smash is an old franchise.  posable trophies is a feature ported from prior smash games.   it's no different than when i got infuriated at mario party on wii because they did an exact port of the game cube mario party mini-games with low-poly character models and sub 480 resolution and all.

you could unlock classic nintendo games in smash bros wii too.

In this mode, the player can play restricted demo versions of classical Nintendo games via the Virtual Console. The player does not have to connect to the Wi-Fi connection for that. The available demos are the following:

    Super Mario Bros. (1:00)
    Ice Climber (0:40)
The Legend of Zelda (NES) (2:00)
    Kid Icarus (1:00)
    Kirby's Adventure (2:00)
Fire Emblem[10] (Japanese version only) (3:00)
    Super Metroid (3:00)
    EarthBound[10] (Japanese version only) (5:00)
    Star Fox 64 (3:00)

Some must be unlocked. These games include the following:

Donkey Kong (0:30) (Play for 10 hours or more total.)
Super Mario World (2:00) (Play on Yoshi's Island (Melee) three times.)
Super Mario Bros. 2 (1:30) (Play as Peach and win five matches in VS Mode.)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (5:00) (Play as Toon Link ten times in VS Mode.)
F-Zero (0:45) (Get Captain Falcon to join the party in The Subspace Emissary.)

All titles have a restricted time they can be played in. However, some, like Super Metroid, come with save data.

anything actually new in smash wiiU or is it the same list again?

i'll save you the time... here's the full listing for both games.  http://www.ssbwiki.com/masterpieces

Yes it's not new for the franchise, but that just shows Nintendo has never had the "what's the least we can do" attitude.
