As I said in Nintendo thread. Lol @ people thinking vgc is spot on. 250k on shelves is unrealistic.

Why?

It's not like the Wii U is a hot product with lots of shelf space.

look at Japan's numbers. Case closed

For everything Nintendo shipped this year in Japan, only 35K remained on the shelves. I'm curious about the other 95K discrepancy. I think the VGchartz numbers are unbalanced among regions.

Japan's numbers on the chertz? I don't visit that site anymore so I wouldn't know, but they just use mc and famutsu numbers. Japan tracking is on par with npd tracking.

yes, japan tracking on the chartz. It's the most accurate and shows 150k on shelves. The Americas has about twice that shipped. It should probably have twice that on shelves as well. 450k on shelves without Europe is realistic. Others has a little more than Japan and should have around Japan's stock too. 600k Global is realistic

Go tell that to the people at chartz. Also, what happened to that extra 95K? Is it in a warehouse or something?

What extra 95k? I'm banned on there because nintendo fans can't handle the truth.

1.3m-1.5m was typical stock for ps360 for vgc. 600k is less than half that. 600k is barely anything. 10 Wii Us in Stock at a single store isn't much. How many stores are there in the Us? 2k targets and they are the 5th largest retailer if I'm remembering correctly. Warehouses and freighters exist too

Nintendo shipped 490K Wii Us from april to december. Media Create has them soldthrough ~454K. Which means that of the consoles shipped this year, ~35K are on the shelves. So why is there an extra 95K gone? Are they in a warehouse? Or is it a subject of Media Create undertracking(Unlikely to be larger than 20K Maximum)

As for you saying N-fans can't handle the truth, put this into perspective. You are a Sony fan going into nintendo threads trying to downplay them. You can't expect them not to be upset.

Oh, and to provide further support, according to vgc wii u sold 139k wii us the last week of the year. So... Where's all the reports of ridiculous supply constraint? Because less than two weeks supply would take about two months to correct.

wii u shipped 2.3m to japan at the end of December.  Had sold 2.15 at the same time. Ytd is irrelevant because previous years shipment could be on shelves but wouldn't be in the fy report

Not trying to discredit the source, it's a legitimate question.
