Eh?

You mean an actual E3 that involves all of the major companies/small companies or just Sony in general?

A 2nd E3 in the Winter would be awesome but would make the Game Awards/VGAs obsolete lol

Legend made me remove this. Everybody riot.

Yes all companies.

The game awards would have less to reveal but mutch more watching for the awards themselves.

I doubt Nintendo will do something similar. They and their fans seem to enjoy Nintendo Direct. If they're not making a big scene at E3 they probably won't try to create their own post-E3 event. Microsoft? Could go either way. On one hand, they can't afford to have Sony one-up them with a North American event like that right before the holidays. On the other hand, Microsoft only really makes a consumer event effort at E3. Gamescom this year was the most effort they had put into that event and I don't think I'm alone in feeling like it was kinda half-hearted. They don't really show up at TGS, but for good reason. They might do it but their eagerness to pretty much blow their load at one event tells me that even if they did they might not have much new to discuss.

I dont think theres enough big announcements to have another e3 like event in december...

It's not simply about making big new announcements. PlayStation Experience was something for the fans. E3 is almost entirely press. Look how many announcements Sony made this year between GDC, E3, Gamescom, TGS, and PSX. As long as Sony has that many things to announce on a yearly basis there is no reason for them to not do another pre-Christmas event. It's actually excellent marketing for the biggest sales time of the year. It's a great time to not only talk about things you may not want to wait until E3 for but also to refresh enthusiasm for games already announced as now you have a great opportunity to show progress and give non-press gamers a taste of nothing but PlayStation bound titles. At all the other events, Sony has to share the floor and schedules so they can't just do as they please.

That's true guys but i think its the big announcements and the potential for there to be big announcements that creates the hype, attention and ultimately the publicity. If there's no big announcements will the event receive as much attention? Probably not imo.

I still think its great to have the event i just think thats something for them to consider.
