What does Uncharted 4's expanded gameplay focus mean for Microsoft's Tomb Raider?

So Microsoft bought Tomb Raider to compete against Uncharted 4 right?

Well now it seems all the things that differentiated Tomb Raider 2013 are in U4 and done much better. Tomb Raider's one universal advantage was its expanded gameplay, and now that's gone. What does this mean? What are your thoughts?

For example did SE/Microsoft know about these changes to the Uncharted formula and make TR exclusive to help TR not get slaughtered, or after seeing the changes are they freaking out about the holidays? Eh, just trying to get you guys thinking.

Uncharted's gameplay was already better, though Tomb Raider had more diverse stuff, some of it was awful.
QTE's in Tomb Raider were some of the most painful I've ever seen.  (Though I've never seen anyone complain about those, while I've seen many complaints about Uncharted's QTEs, despite the fact that it barely has any!)
I expect Uncharted to make a bigger splash next holiday.  I also expect Uncharted 4 to be better than TR.
So yes, they're freaking out.

The one thing I could see TR doing better is monster fights. Uncharted is pretty stale and simple when you're fighting monsters. The final boss in the second game was just a glowing dude that you had to detonate explosive barrel expies on.
