Ever started playing a game, and there was a mechanic or feature that made you go "yeah I just can't fudge with this" and turned off the game to never play it?

1- Ghostrunner
I downloaded ghost runner the other day. I mean, it looked really cool.

Then i figured out you die from one hit. I was done. I hate, loath one hit deaths. No thanks. The whole premise of the game became annoying to me. Deleted it right away

2- Resident Evil 5
As soon as I figured out you can't move when you shoot I deleted the game

What about you guys?

ghostrunner has insta death?

oh man,.. i think i might pull that out of my backlog then.   it looks really cool but...

i bounced on super mario galaxy 2 due to over menus.   it's a been a long time but after beating a level:
- they bring you back to that ship thing
- you have to walk to the other side to navigate the ship
- you navigate though a menu to select a level
- i think you had to make a choice or a confirmation to start a level

it was like 3 minutes of completely pointless boredom shoved in between every level.

I have played only a little bit of a couple Resident Evil games, and I feel like I need to give them a proper try.

But this was a big reason why I dropped RE5.  It makes it feel so wildly clunky.

Legend

Pacific Drive, just a few days ago. I discovered it was a rougelike car game. No thanks. I have zero interest in doing the same thing over and over.

Star Wars Outlaws, yesterday. Just felt so bland and insultingly boring. First mission just had her saying ~"I need the flux spark so Im gunna steal it, then I can go to space and have fun. But I can't have fun till I steal the flux spark!"

I hate dumb stuff like that.  I hate when devs waste my time. And it's surprising how many devs do it.

Ufc 4 bugged the shame out of me with something similar. There were "challenges" that if I compete them, I get a very small amount of currency to unlock cosmetics. But everytime you redeem a challenge, it loads up an xp bar that I can't skip. It takes just a few seconds. But when I need to constantly redeem multiple ones it gets very tiring very fast. I stopped redeeming them all together

And yes ghost runner is insta death. Apparently there is a mode where you get killed in two shots. But I couldn't find it in the settings so I deleted.
