Yeah move dev work to cheaper countries and you can save a lot of money, but I don't think that is enough. Even those studios have ballooning budgets.

There is probably a lot more wasted time trying to coordinate bigger teams. 

I feel like it wouldn't be hard to imagine outsourcing a level, getting the results back and wanting something completely different. And almost instantly having millions of dollars down the drain. 

And I also think a lot of effort is being put into things that only Legend and Digital Foundry will notice.

Yeah outsourcing can have it's problems. Though if they outsource a level and only check when it's finished that's bad management lol

But overall devs in countries with lower wages can do more with less. They will have trouble attracting international talent compared to other places. But they can save a lot on salaries compares to places like California and newyork.
