Posting that article. But I am a bit wary of parts of it.

Really seems to try pinning a lot of Xbox's failures on Sarah Bond.

Even though it admits that Phil Spencer was in charge of way too many decisions "Phil Spencer took a long vacation, and I'm told that some teams had to wait weeks for sign-off on some key changes". 

Not to mention a lot of these pushes I think were very textbook Nadella.

Phil Spencer was talking publicly about the initial vision of "Xbox Everywhere" July 2020, and then "Xbox Everywhere Focus" August 2021.

Gamers aren't into AI. This is even worse for Xbox than Phil ever could have been, imo.

old man gamers don't like AI.   i doubt my son cares one way or another.   


i think old people forget how bad a kids tastes are.   this weekend i unplug alexa when they played some song where the voice was digitally altered to sound like a baby sang "coconut, coconut, coconut, coconut..." over and over for the entire song.  

last night i was listening to the kids in my scout troop talking about "grow a garden" on roblox.  i looked up a video today and i'm not all surprised it is appealing to kids.   bright.  cheery.  silly.   ...it's massively more appealing to a kid than dark and dreary games that pushed on playstation/steam.
