So how is it's legs looking?

It's already at 760 million worldwide. Clearly it's huge WW, but I wonder how much this needs to break even.

It's still trailing way of water but it's on track to a billion this next week. I think 500 million domestic is still possible. I think most are thinking 1.8 billion total.

Seems like around a billion is close to break even. So lots of profit for Disney even at 1.5 billion.

Though like I've said I can't see why way of water didn't make back the budget of both movies. I know it's probably not the best way to look at it but they've made a lot of money easily between the two

Looks like 805 million with mondays numbers

Not the best monday domestically though. Now behind Avatar 1.

Should hit a billion tomorrow.

Yay!!! I remember when passing a billion was hard lol. Now not passing it means you failed.

Lol.... Well to be fair any other movie passing a billion would still be considered a major success.  Other than avengers and mainline starwars perhaps, and some movies who went crazy over budget

nnodley

We passed a billion!!  I think it took 15 days compared to 14 for TWOW and 19 days for avatar. Hopefully legs are good from here on

nnodley

Looking around 1.1 billion with thursdays box office but also doesn't have international numbers since Sunday. So could be 1.2 billion so far. End of weekend might be nearing 1.25billion to 1.3 billion, maybe

nnodley

Looking likely to end near 1.7 billion. Which is still insane.

Quote from: Legend on Dec 29, 2025, 07:28 PM$477,373,578 domestic. Needs to beat that to be top 25 all time.

Hard to say if it will. I get the feeling it will not have legs anywhere near way of water in America. I don't think it's going as viral with the kids.

$1,269,253,418 needed worldwide to be top 25. That should be very easy.

Domestic will end kinda meh. International is killing it though, as expected.

Yeah seems domestic, avatar is just a normal blockbuster. I could see the big gap between 3 and 4 giving more hype for 4 to get possibly over 2 billion again.

Disney is in full profit mode now with fire and ash. There is no way they are not backing 4 and 5. Just a matter if Cameron steps aside and lets someone else direct. I hope not but he is going to be pushing 80 years old and things start catching up to most people at that age

Not sure but it would need to start soon to hit their 2029 release. I'm guessing it's gonna get pushed to 2030 or later
