so today we are supposed to see the new direction for halo right?

any gameplay or is it going to be another CGI only announcement like so many of MSs titles when announced too early into development?

Microsoft posted it like an hour early.

visually...

in some ways it looks great.   but there are a ton of really awkward details.    should I assume it is because of overuse of AI or this this because its a remaster of a really old game?   the landscapes looked pretty good on their own but animations/movement were out-of-synch.

like at 1:18 of the trailer the vehicle goes off the jump and gravel is thrown from the jump.   but at 1:22 the gravel is still being thrown everywhere like it wasn't because of the car but it's a "gravel fountain".

i don't usually fret on this kind of stuff but there was soo many jarringly uncanny moments like that.

PS5, confirmed.

And why oh why did Halo CE need a second remake? I get it, first halo on playstation, but come on.

Oh the livestream has them talking about changes to the gameplay. Actually reworking things. So that's not inspiring. They'll probably completely misunderstand what makes Halo great, once again, and butcher it.

Haha that is a really funny detail with the gravel. I love seeing trash like that in trailers and complaining about it.

Definitely not an AI thing. But not a good sign. It's nitpicky but these are hundred million dollar games.

Fanboys really are like frogs. Toss them in boiling water and they'll jump out. But boil the water while they're in it and they stay.

All of us saw the writing on the wall nearly a decade ago when they started porting everything to PC. Everyone knew they were going down the path of Sega. But the slow speed car crash was easy for so many to ignore.

Very frustrating. I love my series x. I have played it so so so much more than my PS5 this gen. I was really hopeful they were going to swerve and avoid the crash. But then all the big games still sucked. Except Indy.

also, this is the first trailer.  one would think you'd show off the most polished bits to cut into a 1 min trailer.  and it's not like release is that far off either
