I bought an electric lawn mower

Wow. Just fudging wow.

I have no idea if this is an electric thing, a modern mower thing, or what. But this is amazing. The grass just goes up and into the bag! I turn it off and clumps don't fall out.

It feels like vacuuming, it's crazy.

We got an electric snow blower last year, and an electric mower this year.

Like both of them.

What brand did you get? And any motivation for getting that brand?

Ryobi.

Home depot was trying to clear them all out to make room for snowblowers, and ryobi was pretty much the only option. I walked in expecting to get a gas one.

as far as the vacuuming goes,.. probably just because it's new.  when things get dirty it likely won't be so nice.

I had one.  I had issues with the recharging.  was great for about a year but then it stopped fully charging.  I gave up on it when I couldn't mow the lawn in one charge.

I do a reel lawn mower now.

Nah it's not from it being clean. More that it sounds like a vacuum and I can hear stuff getting sucked up, and that it actually sucks stuff instead of it just cutting it. And it has powered motion like a vacuum.

Last night I was mowing in the dark. It even has a headlight.

Did yours not have a swappable battery like an electric power tool? Mine has two but it works just fine with only one plugged in so hopefully that gives me some flexibility as the batteries age.

And your joke pic is about the level of what I had to replace. After mowing with my previous mower I'd have to go back through and pick up all the grass clumps by hand.

The vacuuming comparison is spot on. To me it even sounds more like a shop vac than a mower. It took me a while to get used to how quiet it is

Oh you thought you meant a robot. I would really like a new mower too. Annoying how a lot doesn't go into the bag and it gives up at the first sight of struggle
