read though the metacritic quotes.   i'll take this one as a good summary:

South of Midnight is a good game - nothing more, nothing less

for me that's probably enough.   it looks like my kind of game.   a bit like R&C really.   i won't buy a full price but i'll be very happy if it ever hit ps+ or drops to around $20.

It's included in gamepass but I don't know if I'll try it out. Nothing really stands out as something I need to play and I'm slowly making my way through ac shadows.

Gamepass makes it not fair to compare to regular games, but most other first party microsoft games do a lot better.

not sure it's that uncomparable to non-game pass games.  lots of Sony game launch to peaks of just a few 10-Thousands.  

% wise I guess 1.5 thousand is a lot less but in absolute numbers it feels like a rounding error. 

anyways.  it's not surprising.  I don't think anyone was super hyped for this.  it's a very old school type game.

So, we feeling Compulsion Games is the next studio to get shut down? I hope not as we've had too many studio shutdowns as is, but feels likely for this studio, unfortunately

If this was a Sony studio, they'd definitely be at risk. Given a big budget increase yet their game gets kinda bad reviews and isn't popular.

Them or Ninja Theory. Hellblade 2 took so many years and was probably fairly expensive.

Hopefully neither though. Ninja Theory could have been shut down months ago yet wasn't. Maybe Microsoft is letting things settle for a bit.

Not sure if MS is looking to do layoffs but if so than this studio is likey at least on the list of consideration for getting cut.
