Super cool. Obviously it'd be very bad if it hits south america, africa, or india, but in the past it would have been a struggle to get America to deflect it just in case. Now we have giant rockets that are super cheap so it's almost guaranteed that a low risk high reward mission will be attempted.

In 2028 I believe we will get updated odds, and 2032 is when it will either hit or have a close fly by. A second more expensive mission could be initiated in 2028 if impact seems all but guaranteed. The asteroid is way too small to be a global threat, but it could still level multiple cities.

Not big enough to kill everyone luckily. But still, would be the biggest impact in a few thousand years probably.

Cool thing is that if we fail to deflect it, we'd know exactly where it'd hit with weeks of warning. The entire area could be evacuated like we do with hurricanes.
