Not bothering with fully tracking youtube this year since it takes a fair amount of time.

Intergalactic though is not doing that great. Not doing bad, but way worse than it should be doing. TLOU2 teaser has 328k likes on the playstation channel while Intergalactic only has 118k if you add up both the playstation and naughty dog uploads. It'll get more over the coming days but it'll still be half the likes.

Witcher 4 for comparison on the witcher channel has 226k likes so it's not like people just ignored the game awards this year.

New IP takes a while proliferate compared to known IP though. It's at 2.7m with ND and Playstation's combined numbers which is solid. Probably would have done better at a PS showcase but that's another discussion. They have 1/2 years to convince people with more gameplay.

I think the first Gameplay demonstration will be very important for this game. If it's awesome, hype will be through the roof. If I remember correctly, the hype after the TGA trailer for TLoU there wasn't a huge amount of hype, but after the gameplay trailer at E3 people went crazy

Yeah same was with Ghost. Horizon did it right by revealing gameplay in their initial reveal. I'd rather ND show the gameplay when its ready though.

I bet 90% of this game takes place on the red planet, not in spaceships and stuff. We're searching for the guy around its moon, then something will force us unto its surface to get involved with whatever its mystery is. The robot enemy must be the primary enemy faction in the game because the language on it is not used anywhere else.

Also I wonder if the planet will just be Earth. They call it sempiria but it just has regular trees and lavenders, nothing alien.


Tech studying a cinematic trailer isn't that interesting but I have a few perspectives.

Lots of raytracing and good motion blur.

It drops a frame here and there but mostly it's a solid 60 fps.

Water physics and animations are very last gen.

Face animations are very next gen, but a bit uncanny when she is sucking her soda. I think they wanted to show off with that even if it makes her come across as annoying.

Other people have talked about her putting on the jacket but that's not impressive for AAA. Baked animations have been able to do that for a long time.

Really great image quality.

Game will be fine come release. It's just this reveal trailer that could have been better imo. Other new IPs from established studios tend to do very well since the studio is just as well known.

I was very hyped for the TLOU reveal trailer, but I was already a huge ND fan. The gameplay trailer was what convinced non ND fans that it would have interesting gameplay unlike Uncharted.

There was so much hype coming out of that E3 with the bricks and limited bullets.

I don't think this needed to be a gameplay trailer, I just think it needed to be exciting and more relevant to what the game will be like. Unless most of the game is walking around talking on a space ship...

I honestly feel Uncharted fans are more excited for this than TLOU fans. I loved UC but only like TLOU because I found it too intense at times. This game seems to be appealing more to those fans of UC than TLOU.

yep absolutely. I really love TLOU, but uncharted is just fantastic.  This is going to be a good mix of both most likely, but also still something new and fresh.
