I have a confession.

I didn't love the reveal trailer. It looks great and fun but nothing stood out besides the music and cameos.

what did you expect.   it looked exactly like Astros playroom.   either you you want more of that or you don't.

A lot more variety in location and new things going on. Really exciting.

okay, so exactly like Astros playroom but bigger.   I clearly saw more gameplay mechanics in the trailer then in playroom too.

the lack of concord is an alternative headline...

...great for astro bot though.   will be hilarious if the start of the year is sony declaring no "tentpole" releases and all the doom and gloom that created only to end with potentially 3 10+ million sellers (helldivers 2, astrobot, lego horizon).   i'm probably a bit optimistic here but astrobot is doing great on the social media metrics and lego games always sell a lot despite most gamers not wanting to discuss them.

Though its reveal trailer showed huge promise, I still wondered how capable Asobi would be at turning a tight 4-5 hour experience into a full game  – concern that was obliterated after playing it. Just absolutely bursting with imagination and mechanics. Serious GoTY contender

Hopefully I love it. 3D mario is one of my favorites mostly due to nostalgia so I wonder if Astroboy will capture me the same way.
