Which is not a big deal as that's what they wanted, but with how dull and how little there was they would have been better off just going all in on puzzles and using the environment to solve more than they had. Which was also very little and way too easy
Was the story at least good?

Ehh it was good but not that great. I thought the first games story was leagues better.

This game has bad value for $50 compared to a lot of games now. Especially for the 5 year dev period.  Alan Wake 2 was $50 and it was amazing with great gameplay and story on top of it being over 15 hours.

It also looks quite amazing at times. Still not the best, in my opinion.  I'm afraid that this will likely be the end for ninja theory

I worry about ninja theory too. Gamepass has killed pc sales so it's harder to compare but it's doing so bad on steam. I'd guess it has sold roughly half of what Hi Fi Rush did in its first week.

It's really just surprising/shocking that they spent so many years hyping this up as a big mainstream game yet didn't improve anything besides the graphics.
