Xbox rumor comes from Tom Warren

I understand this is set to take place on Sunday, June 9th, and Microsoft is currently planning to announce a new Gears of War game at the show. A Gears announcement won't be the only new Xbox game at the show, which will also include release dates for upcoming Xbox games like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and of course, a new Call of Duty that's set to debut later this year.

I liked 5's trailers though so maybe they'll surprise me.

mostly agree.  the game could be amazing but if it's "more of the same" it won't do anything for xbox's last place position.   while i did love the 1st game on 360 it certainly doesn't look like much of anything has changed in the last 20 years.  i'm a pretty vocal advocate for letting a franchise die so that something new can be tried.   this certainly seem like a good candidate for something that has passed it's expiration date.


..but on the other hand gears 5 scored well enough that i'm sure those already on xbox/gamepass will be happy for it.

Can't even let people speculate what the redacted direct is for 5 minutes.

Microsoft is only teasing the Call of Duty Direct as "the next installment of a beloved franchise," but sources familiar with the company's plans tell me that this is indeed Call of Duty.<br><br>This will be the first Xbox showcase featuring games across Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, and Microsoft's Xbox Game Studios. I understand Microsoft is currently planning to announce a new Gears of War game during the show. The showcase will also include a number of release dates for upcoming Xbox games like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.<br><br>We'll likely get a date on when the big Shattered Space expansion is coming to Starfield. Todd Howard recently revealed it's due in the fall, and I understand Bethesda is currently targeting September. Activision is targeting the next Call of Duty for late October, with Avowed and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 likely to follow in November and Indiana Jones in December.

Grubb and someone else were saying to expect that Sony will announce their show any day now.

Grubb expects either next week or the week after.

I personally expect the week after, that's more consistent with what they've done in the past.

I hope this is on a smaller scale like mirage again.  Or have we learned anything about its size already?

so same dev as Valhalla. So it seems it would likely be as big as Valhalla, which lowers my hype some.  As Mirage was so good being a smaller game for once.  Valhalla was really good, but was too bloated with content
