haven't played a civ game ever, my brother interned with Fire Axis when they were working on the last on though

The game really grows on you. Being on an alien planet in the future instead of the past makes it a lot harder to pick up, but once you do it becomes super rewarding.

You feel like you're leading your civ in to the future, verse just reenacting the past.
