Operating Income: ¥263B/$1.821B (-23.55% YoY from ¥344B in Q2 FY22)
Net Income: ¥200.1B/$1.386B (-28.97% YoY from ¥264B in Q2 FY22)


- Sony shipped 4.9m PS5s in Q2 FY23:
- As it stands, Sony shipped 8.2m PS5s in the current FY, which accounts for roughly 33% of their FY target (25m PS5s shipped)

67.6m Full PS4/PS5 Games sold in Q2 FY23.
8.16% YoY increase: Up from 62.5m in Q2 FY22.
19.65% QoQ increase: Up from 56.5m in Q1 FY23.





As for software, the PS5-exclusive title Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which was released on
October 20, sold through more than 5 million units worldwide as of October 30, and it
has become a big hit.

"We are reviewing this... we are trying as much as possible to ensure [these games] are enjoyed and liked by gamers for a long time," he said. "[Of] the 12 titles, six titles will be released by FY25 – that's our current plan. [As for] the remaining six titles, we are still working on that.

"That's the total number of live service and multiplayers titles [and] mid-to-long-term we want to [push] this kind of service and that's the unchanged policy of the company. It's not like we stick to certain titles, but game quality should be the most important [thing]."

The director said they were still working on it, last week I think. Seems they are still trying.

from where i'm sitting i'd say "purgatory".  

two truths have been confirmed,... the game was not canceled and (most of) the people working on it are now on a different project.    seems to me like they are back to "pre-production" mode where they are trying to figure out what retooling they'd want to do to save the project.   maybe it gets canceled.  maybe they go back into production.   it's fate seems as of yet undecided.
