Haha not what I expected the thread to be about.

I really like using google docs and I'm glad I made the switch for work stuff. Previously I did a lot of things in word and in private forum threads, but it's actually really nice having something with limited options that just works. The default setup with headings and the auto index on the left is exactly what I want.

Maybe this is a bit more than a minor thing.

For a long time I've been looking at getting a new phone. My current one is over 8 years old and keeps having elements fail despite being in good condition externally. Not even sure I could trade it in and all the trade in offers nowadays only work if I spend an extra $20 a month to switch to a premium plan.

I have a vacation coming up so last night I decided I had to just bite the bullet and buy a ~$700 phone at full cost.

Yet this morning Verizon texted a special offer to get the Pixel9 Pro XL for free. No trade in, no switching of plans, just a $1,200 phone for free. Sounds too good to be true but I already went to the store and picked it up. I "splurged" for the 512 GB version so it's actually $3 a month
