Growing up one of my favorite games was Kingdom Hearts 1.

I played the remasters a couple of years ago, before starting KH3.

I wasn't prepared for this.

This song hit me hard, and I literally teared up, just from the menu.

i find modern music harder to remember.  anything with a full orchestra is immediately forgettable to me.   I remember the really old stuff like:

especially starting at 0:25

so i even listened to things like the mario galaxy or zelda ocarina of time sound track just to see.   completely forgettable to me.  i played them just as hard as those earlier titles but they invoke nothing in me.

however, sometimes what i remember most isnt' even the music.  the killzone kill chirp is forever with me.  so satisfying.

Well I never played the game, but the song defintly makes me feel nostalgic for the 2d era of gaming. When gaming was still growing and had infinite potential in our minds.

Its bloody tears from the castlevania series

I think it was used in a trailer pre launch that really got me hyped.

Then of course:

I can't think of any nostalgic game music from the 90s. So instead here's two bonus songs!
