If you ask within the next few hours, I'll give an honest answer.

Hopefully no one replies within the next few hours!

Serious question, if you had to put a percentage on how far along it is, what would it be?

Really hard to say.

I thought I was really close to the end, but the swiss cheese problem was too much. I had to go back 12 months and redo a lot of stuff.

Right now I don't have any graphics. I'm back to graybox level design. I use a lot of procedural tools so going back to actual game assets could be really fast or could be kinda slow.

I'd say 80% if I'm not being overly optimistic. Lots of unknowns though.

Of course Miyamoto would say that.
They only just got patching technology.

to be fair,.. it's a very old quote.

QuoteThe quote is said to stem from Miyamoto's work on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, announced in 1995 and ultimately released in 1998...

also, according to that article miyamoto never actually said it.  didn't realize i was spreading misinformation until just now.  xD

...but regardless of where the quote came from,..  it's origin story of the quote lead back to the era before internet and patches when shipping a game in a bad state meant it was forever bad.
