No, he wants to play with people, but he can't because he has no friends.
No contradiction.

Yeah I'm still buying it. fudgy shaming, yes.  But I'm hyped for the game more for the story, setting, and new parkour gameplay than it being 900p.  Even if they are idiots.  And let's be honest, it's gonna sell a shame ton whether I buy it or not.

Actually in the video he says he doesn't want to play with people, and that co-op is something he's not really in to in this situation.

No, he said coop was good and can make a game great.  He uses that to defend Assassin's Creed and say coop is a good enhancement, only to later say Assassin's Creed doesn't need coop.

I watched it now.

Coop can be fun, but Assassin's Creed doesn't need it.
That's not a contradiction.
The Last of Us multiplayer might be fun and good, but it's not something that I need.  I'm perfectly content in sticking with the story mode.

But if they can create an epic single player campaign AND an amazing multiplayer experience, why not have both?

More bank for you buck. Last of Us multiplayer was one of the best I played of last generation. Same goes to the single player.

Again Pi, it's boolean algebra.  He said p ^~p which evaluates to false every time.

Completely separate values.  One is a preference, another is what he feels about a requirement.
For example, I like red, but my room doesn't need it.

They're not separate values.  His "preference" states that coop makes games better(Specifically Assassin's Creed) and that Assassin's Creed shouldn't have coop.  P and ~P.  If he said "Coop makes games better, but I'd prefer Assassin's Creed not to have it since it doesn't enhance the experience" you'd be right.  He didn't say that.
