Someone on Era posted that a lot of X-Men doesn't really work within the broader context of Marvel, and I thought that was interesting. 

Like in a lot of the Marvel movies, they are heroes. 
Whereas X-Men is all about how they are mutants who are mistreated.

Yeah full agree. It ruins it. Mutants only work in our universe. If they are in a universe with spiderman and the like, it just makes it silly.
