That's pretty impressive sales for China. Its console market is rapidly growing.

Cyberpunk received 8 million pre-orders, just announced. 74% of those were digital. This looks almost certain to be a top 3 video game launch of all time.

The game also doubled the previous concurrent player record on Steam for a SP game, with 1.03m peak last night.



That means 4.7m pre-orders on PC. Poor WoW will have held the PC launch record for a very short amount of time

Across Europe and Australia, Nintendo Switch was the No.1 selling games console in November, just ahead of PlayStation 5. Switch sales are overall down very slightly (2.2%) over November 2019, which benefited from the launch of Pokemon Sword and Shield

Woah, someone beating me to posting news in this thread? Crazy.

Great launch for PS5, that's the biggest launch ever. Here's others:

• 105k - Switch
• 95k - Wii
• 90k - PS4
• 50k - Xbox One

So PS5 roughly +20% on PS4, XBS -25% on XB1.

So here's all the PS5 sales we know about so far:

US - 1.14-1.35M (Up to 28th Nov)
UK - >250k (First week beats PS4 - up to Nov 21st)
Japan - 213k (Up to Dec 5th)
France - 107k (First week sales - up to Nov 21st)
Spain - 43k (First week sales - up to Nov 21st)

Total of at least 1.75M confirmed sales from these markets.

As for XBS:

US - <900k (Up to 28th Nov)
UK - 155k (Launch sales - up to 11th Nov)
Japan - 29k (Up to Dec 5th)
France - 37k (First week sales - up to Nov 14th)
Spain - 14k (First week sales - up to Nov 14th)

No minimum here due to no lower bound on US, but fair to say its ~900k and call it 1.13M confirmed sales from these markets.

Big physical debut for Cyberpunk in the UK. #2 launch of the year, only behind fifa.

As an entirely pointless comparison, Cyberpunk 2077 physical sales are 60% lower than Red Dead Redemption 2. But comparing 2018 to 2020 is never wise

Roughly 240k physical debut for Cyberpunk, which is big in this digital age. In the last two years only fifa and cod have achieved a launch that big, the last other game being RDR2.

Also, amazon US restock of PS5 and XSX wasn't big enough to even show up on the monthly top 100. However I just remembered you can check weekly chart, and for the week starting this monday PS5 is #52 and XSX is #69. So a small restock from both but slightly more PS5 stock.

Looks like a new standard for PS5. Hopefully they just dropped shipments in Japan and this isn't a worldwide trend for December. Also Switch continues to perform at basically the exact same level every December in Japan, kind of funny.

PS5 and XSX came back into stock on amazon US today. PS5 for instant stock and deliver, XSX for February. Yep...

Lets see how their stock compares. Both have come in stock a lot on Walmart and Best Buy recently, and PS direct are doing drops pretty much every day still. I think the US is getting a lot of PS5 stock in December.
