Superdata has done research about the move to digital from physical in the video game market. The US digital market was worth $96 million in October, while worldwide digital sales are expected to be worth $2.5 [billion] by the end of 2014.

The study has also shown that 20 percent of sales for Destiny were digital. Destiny has sold 7.44 million units at retail through November 8, according to VGChartz. That would put digital sales around 1.86 million units and total sales at 9.3 million units.
