Super Nintendo World begins construction - NeoGAF

Quote
/ As you probably know Nintendo is teaming up with Universal to build an amusement park in Japan called Super Nintendo World, the park is scheduled to open sometime before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and they officially started with constructions today, due to the ocassion they had a little press conference where the talked about the park./ Not much interesting here apart from the Mario Kart attraction being indeed real, apparently its some sort of slide.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKCqJ8llKuA They also just released that video showcasing what the park is supposed to look like./ This is how fireworks look like in Super Nintendo World.https://www.famitsu.com/news/201706/08134812.htmlhttp://www.4gamer.net/games/999/G999905/20170608001/

I wonder what the roller coasters are going to be like.

It's just a land, not a park like the gaf op suggests.

Japan has a mario kart ride and a yoshi ride, while Florida has the mario kart ride and a donkey kong ride.

Mario Kart will be 2 person cars that are only attached at the front to the track. This way they can slide around.

Disney World is a lot bigger but Universal is great as well. You can spend a good 4 days there.

I mean in real life.

The part you ride on isn't actually supported by the tracks. Instead it's on a rollercoaster track farther down to make it feel like you're jumping the tracks.

That's gonna be weird.
