Oh cool. Looks like I'm not the only dude that watches Rag's content.

Aura7541

As a fan of KonoSuba, this actually looks good.

People on both sides of the online feminism and anti feminism discussion are pretty fudgy stupid.

That just depends on how far to one side or the other you are. In the case of that video, I wholly agree with Rags. Feminism has become a poison and those who drink it every day find themselves looking for things to change that don't need it in the name of an ideal of equality they don't really believe in or refuse to see how it doesn't/shouldn't apply to everything.

There's also a large difference between the feminists and anti-feminists when it comes to having an open discussion (e.g. not having YouTube ratings and comments disabled).

That's why I added the online part. These people (on both sides, including as it seems that Rags dude) don't live in the real world. People that can't stop crying about the patriarchy and mysoginy etc. all day and see it in everything are insane nutcases and people that take these nutcases and think they represent the entirety of feminism and then feel inclined to make videos about how feminists all more or less want to chop white mens dicks off are morons as well. Not once in the real world have I ever met someone that complained about the patriarchy or mansplaining or any of that battleship to me, but if you were to believe the internet, then those people would have to be everywhere.

It's kinda like the democrat and conservative thing, according to the internet all conservatives are basically nazis and all democrats are basically tumblr feminists, because the moderate majority has long since been drowned out and all that's left are the crazy extremists shouting at each other.

Oh yeah, Youtube comment sections, the best place for an open discussion imaginable.

Doesn't necessarily mean that good discussions in YouTube comment sections are impossible...

Under these types of videos? They more than likely are.

I would agree if you mean that there is more shitposting than constructive discussion. However, if there is constructive discussion under the videos, then there is constructiveness regardless of the more numerous shitposting. After all, you can just ignore the shitposts or just flat out not scroll down if you don't want to see the comments.

I guess, but if I knew that all the videos I make would have comment sections filled with insults flung at me then I'd also think about just disabling comments, after all people can discuss the videos anywhere on the internet.

Well that's extreme.

Feminism has cuckoos like all movements but it's disingenuous to ignore all the other feminists and the historical positives feminism has brought.

Christina Hoff Sommers is awesome and Liana Kerzner is alright, too. However, 3rd wave feminism is nowhere near what 1st & 2nd wave feminism were.

As Aura said, what feminism was and what it's been turning into are two different things. And, as Rags pointed out, egalitarianism makes feminism pointless if what you're honestly aiming for is equality between the genders/sexes. Thus feminism really has no place but to be a movement that empowers females at the expense of males and attempts to create an uneven situation to their benefit.
