This came up during dinner a few days ago. I remember the pre smartphone world where you'd debate stuff and would just end the conversation without really knowing the truth. I also remember pulling out the dictionary a fair amount. Other people in my family didn't remember that stuff as actively, hence this thread.
So do you remember not having the internet in your pocket?
My family didn't really start getting big on smart phones until probably 5-8 years ago. I didn't get a smart phone until probably 4-5 years ago.
We definitely did the dictionary thing. Not a lot I don't think. My mom usually knew how to spell and was usually helping my dad.
Never debated before cell phones and don't usually debate now offline. So I can't comment too much on that. They just get heated easily and it's easier to look something up if you are not in person.
